Celebrate A World of Holiday Excitement™ with the South Shore Chamber, Inc. Saturday, December 6, 2008

South Shore Chamber, Inc. (SSCC) is inviting Chicago residents to join them in celebrating the joyful spirit of the season at the 2nd Annual “A World of Holiday Excitement”™ Tree Lighting ceremony and reception on Saturday, December 6, 2008, starting at 10:00 a.m. (The tree lighting will occur at 10:45 a.m.) at the intersection of 71st Street and Stony Island Avenue. The World of Holiday Excitement™ tree lighting ceremony will be hosted by 5th Ward Alderman Leslie Hairston and South Shore Chamber Inc –Special Service Area #42, and holiday carols will be sung by youth from the Ray of Hope Center for the Arts, and appearances by other local dignitaries. A free hot chocolate reception sponsored by STARBUCKS located at 7101 South Stony Island Avenue will be held immediately following the program. Bank of America, located at 7131 South Stony Island will also provide participants with cookies and hot chocolate during the festivities.
